#I❤Collabware - Ryan's Story

Share

Every morning when I arrive at the office I try to take a moment to reflect on how far we have all come. Hearing the idea of Collabware over beers, seeing the closet size office space in Yaletown, seeing the office space in hipster Gastown, and finally looking through fancy glass doors where my eyes lock-on to a galaxy star system light. So cool!

My experiences at Collabware have also started small and grown big. Work began with writing code and helping to build Collabware CLM (and the “Portal Accelerator” with its then popular Buy’n Sell features). As the customer base grew, so did the roles. We traveled to work with customers. Either helping them implement, gather requirements for features, or deliver technical and end user training. I’ve had the great (and sometimes stressful) experiences of traveling to: Sooke, Nanaimo, Nelson (so cool), Victoria, Calgary, Penticton, West Kelowna, Toronto, Montreal, San Diego, Creve Coeur (St. Louis), Aiken (South Carolina), Raleigh (North Carolina), New York, Oberhausen Germany (Prost!). Almost too many to count. Let’s not forget the conference trips to Las Vegas and Chicago. The real fun trips!

While the offices and travel experiences have been great, it’s the work and the people that make me ♥  Collabware. I’m excited to be able to work on projects that push the boundaries and leverage the latest technologies. There are always challenges to be tackled. And the answers aren’t always clear. But working with the team to discover, solution, and then build, brings the greatest job satisfaction.

Working at Collabware

Finally, it’s the people here that make this an amazing place to work. I love working with the smartest and brightest people in the industry. The generosity of the people here constantly surprises me. We’ve worked with volunteer groups; birthdays are always celebrated; money raised for fundraisers, and Christmas hampers delivered. In my entire time here, only two people have chosen to leave to go pursue other opportunities. This truly is a great place to work!

This is part of our ongoing #I❤Collabware series.
